Blue and Gold
I thought the Blue and Gold Banquet was excellent. I would like to thank all the parents of the
scouts who contributed to make this banquet so great.
Congratulations to all who earned awards at the banquet: Bear Badges –
Cameron Rogers, Ben Jack, Hakan Swenson, and Alex Tyndale, Gold Arrows – Ben Jack and
Hakan Swenson, Silver Arrow – Hakan Swenson. Nice
job!
Den Meetings
As you know, we had to change our meeting time to 7pm-8pm every
Wednesday night. We will continue to follow
the monthly calendar that Sister Swenson had so well planned out. The calendar lets you know what electives we are
working on so the scouts can be better prepared for the den meeting. For some nights, like the meeting on March 14, the
scouts need to have a book read prior to that day. Also,
you will find snack assignments on the calendar. If
for some reason you can’t attend on your assigned snack night or if for any reason
the snack will be a problem for that evening please don’t hesitate to give me a call
in advance and we will get snack taken care of.
I have purchased some Denner and Assistant Denner Chords to recognize
the scouts who have that assignment. One
change I’ll be making is to make these positions more of a reward for good behavior,
attendance, uniform, etc.
Jamboree District Day Camp
The day camp is planned for the last week in June and will be a
four-day camp. Sister Mundell is our pack
registrar and she will be getting more information out soon.
I have volunteered to lead the Cub Skills and Adventure portion of
day camp. The planning for these activities
needs to be done by the end of this month and I NEED HELP!
If any of you have a few hours to spare to help with planning it would be
greatly appreciated.
Pack 513 on the Web
I have created a web page to help in the exchange of information. There is some pretty basic stuff available right
now on the web site with much more work planned. Please
check it out and send me some feedback. There
are some member only areas like contact information and roster information. See the web site for details on how you can access
